Artist Statement
Posing the question what is real and what is a dream? - my paintings combine the delicate balance of human-made environments, natural elements and atmospheric conditions. I use these motifs in design, thought and metaphor within a central theme and other underlying themes, linking all of the works together as if they were part of one large image. This process continues to inform my work, manifesting itself in the exploration of social, economic and religious values, and drawing viewers into a place they might already be a part of---or could possibly be.
